Establishment of Euglena GENKI Program

Our establishment was inspired by Izumo San visit to Bangladesh in 1998. He was a student back then and witnessed children who were malnourished due to lack of necessary nutrients. “I want to find a nutrient source that allows them to live a healthy life.” … With that in mind, Izumo, who returned to Japan, met Euglena a microalgae with abundant nutrients in a well-balanced manner (Japanese name: Euglena). )was.
Mr. Izumo, president of euglena Co., Ltd. Laid the foundation of “GENKI Program” in April 2014 with the aim of solving nutritional problems for children in Bangladesh.

What Is Euglena

Euglena is a microalgae species with characteristics of both plants and animals. It produces nutrients through photosynthesis like plants, while it moves like animals with its flagellum. It contains nutrients found in vegetables, fish, and meat.
